Clinical Areas of Focus:
Major depressive disorder and treatment-resistant depression
Anxiety disorders, including GAD, panic disorder, and social anxiety
Bipolar I & II disorders
Schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder
Medication adjustments and second opinions
Coordination with therapists and other care providers
Treatment Philosophy:
"My primary focus is ensuring patients receive the right medication at the right dose, with careful monitoring to maximize benefits and minimize side effects. Medication is a powerful tool that, when used correctly, can dramatically improve quality of life. Medication isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. I work to understand each patient’s story, offer clear guidance on options, and tailor care that fits their needs—not just their diagnosis.”
Dr. Long graduated from the American University of the Caribbean and completed a general psychiatry residency at Richmond University Medical Center, cultivating a particular interest in the use of psychopharmacology to enhance mental health and stability.
When not in clinic, Dr. Long enjoys being out on the water whether it be relaxing on his boat or fishing, watching football and hockey, rooting for his favorite team the Tampa Bay Lightning as well as spending time with his family.
